Copyright and licence:
The author retains the copyright. The publisher uses the following licence statement from issue 15 onwards:
All contents of this journal, excluding individual logos, images, sound files, videos and other artistic outputs are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License.
The authors may, if they wish, license artistic outputs to which they hold the copyright, under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License.
The licence terms includes an exception for image, sound and video material which makes it possible for the author to exclude such material outside the CC 4.0 licence. The author may choose not to use the exception for individual works.
The licence is not applied to already published issues.

RUUKKU is a multidisciplinary, multilingual, peer-reviewed journal on artistic research based on the Research Catalogue (RC), an international artistic research platform and database that enables multimedia publication. The aim of the RC is to function as a connective and transitional layer between academic discourse and artistic practice. The RC allows the user to create custom designed webpages called expositions. These expositions can contain many types of media including text, video, images, and audio recordings. Due to this multi-media publication format as well as the basic idea of the publication, the website is not compliant with the accessibility requirements.
However, the texts of RUUKU's expositions are in some cases available in pdf format. Please send an email to ruukku-journal@uniarts.fi as with other issues regarding accessibility.
Please note that it may take up to 14 days before you receive a response. If you are unhappy with the response you receive, or you are not sent a response at all within two weeks, you can contact the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland. The agency website has detailed instructions in Finnish and Swedish on how to report your findings and how the issue will be handled.
